Arbitration is an alternative dispute resolution method in which disputes between the parties are resolved by the arbitrators determined by them. The parties can determine their will to arbitrate either through an arbitration agreement or an additional arbitration clause that they can arrange between them before the dispute arises, or they can determine the same conditions after the dispute arises. Arbitration rules usually consist of one or three arbitrators. In addition to the arbitration clause, the language of the place of arbitration (city or country), the number of arbitrators and the law applicable to the merits of the dispute can also be written.

The parties that will apply for arbitration may decide in the contract they have drawn up that if a dispute arises, this dispute can be resolved by an arbitrator within Atem. Atem Mediation Tahkim Eğitim A.Ş. A Mediation-Arbitration (Med-Arb) cooperation protocol was signed between Istanbul Arbitration Center (ISTAC) on 24.06.2020. Atem became the solution partner of ISTAC in the Med-Arb project.
